Suceava county is located in the northeast of Romania, bordering Ukraine to the north.
The county has an area of 3301 square miles and a population of 700,000 of which 250,000 live in urban areas and 450,000 in rural areas.
Suceava county has eight cities, Suceava, Falticeni, Radauti, Campulung Moldovenesc, Vatra Dornei, Gura Humorului, Siret and Solca, and 90 villages.
Suceava county is situated in a very picturesque mountain and hilly area, and has many historical and cultural monuments.
Approximately one hundred thousand tourists visit Suceava annually.
