Welcome to the home page of Eastern Europe Outreach.
|
|
Eastern Europe Outreach has been offering assistance in eastern Europe since 1997.
The needs we encounter today, in 2007, are even greater than what we first encountered in 1997.
As our hearts and eyes have opened, we have become even more aware of the multitudes
who need help - families, widows, orphans, injured, sick, old and weak.
|
|
The assistance we offer generally ranges from $20 to $200, according to the difficulty
of the situations we encounter. The smaller gifts are directed to provide minimal funding
for food. The larger ones are directed towards other specific needs such as firewood
for heating and cooking.
In the United States and western Europe, many programs exist to provide both emergency
and long term assistance to individuals in great need.
But the struggling governments in the poorer countries in eastern Europe do not generate
the resources to provide direct assistance to the many individuals in serious need.

It is our desire to provide from our abundance to our brothers and sisters in need:
"For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:
But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want,
that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality" (2 Corinthians 8:13-14).
|
|
It is also our desire to bring encouragement to God's children in their time of affliction
and the gospel of Jesus Christ to those whose hearts God has prepared.
|
|
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and, most of all, may you be found in Him:
"Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again." (John 3:5-6)

"As we have therefore opportunity,
let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."
|
|
|
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
